| Welcome to Dublin, TX!! Many folks
are not familiar with the rich ranching, cutting, and
rodeo heritage that this small town was built on.
As we continue to grow, we decided to take a moment in
time to honor our rich heritage and those special events
that this community was built on.
This will be our first celebration and we are looking
forward to many more. Cowgirl Productions (the
event management team) for this event was founded by
Travis Bickham, a lifelong cowgirl with years of
experience in Corporate America. She has combined
her love of the Western Lifestyle with management skills
learned in the business world. The result
being an event production company specializing in rodeo
and western events!
Some food for thought about Dublin....
- The name Dublin actually originated from the
wagon days - doublin' up the wagons
- The first official, sanctioned NCHA cutting was
held in Dublin in 1946.
- Everett Colburn based his world famous rodeo
company here on the Lightning C Ranch
- Dublin had its own Dublin Rodeo Band
- World Champion Cowboy Harry Tompkins calls
Dublin home
- Callaway Ropes is based here in Dublin - a rope
company owned and operated by three generations of
Rodeo Champions
- In the 1930's, the Dublin rodeo was featured in
national newspapers as
"Best
of them all. ... It has the best rodeo stock, the
most equipment, a new 9,000 seat arena, and the best
cowboys in the nation!"
Thank you
for visiting with us! We hope that you will enjoy
celebrating our rich Western Heritage!
